Actions

Actions list contains all actions inside selected group on the left. Here you can add new, edit existing ones,or execute actions directly from Typing Buddy.

There are 4 columns in this list, each of them describing an action with following meanings:

Description
This field is "description" part of action, and you set it while adding new action or edit existing one.Though in most cases action menu as its item's text uses "content" part of action,in same cases (if content is too long,or meaningless at first sight like your insurance ID or something like that) you'd like to use "description" text instead. That can be done by checking "use in action menu" option in "add new" or "edit" dialog.
Doubleclick in description field will execute its action-start a application, open a folder or file etc...If action is of Auto text type, then its content is copied to the Windows clipboard and you can use it in another applications.
Trigger
This is essential field which actually enables Typing Buddy to do its job,but it can be left empty, allowing more possibilities for flexible use of program. You can change/set trigger directly by double clicking on it.

Content
Content text is actual text which will be inserted instead of trigger(for auto text actions).Or it contains folder name, application name or file to be launched.

Group
Shows to which group action belongs.

Example1:
Click a group on the left to enable "Add new" button.Click add new button and choose Auto text action. In "description" field type "my full name".In trigger type "name".In "text" put your full name e.g. "John Smith".
Now start notepad or go to any window where you can type text.
Type "name" and press any of action keys (space by default).Trigger "name" is replaced with your full name,e.g. "John Smith".

Action commands:

Under Actions list there are a few commands that can be used to manage and execute actions:

Search
