Groups
On the left side there is a directory tree like structure. Each Group can contain Actions and
other Subgroups. If there is only one Group program will work as well but Groups are
intended for organizing your actions in more logical and accessible way.So you can create
different Groups for different but similar actions.
For example in Group named "Links" you can put all web addresses which are of interest for
you.In group named "Emails" you can have all your emails.Create a group and name it
"Folders" and all your actions created for accessing directories on your computer put here.
Groups pane have two columns: Group and Trigger
Group column contains simply the name of a group and it is advised to use meaningful
names here. You can change the name of a group by doubleclicking on its name (to
set/change trigger double click into Group's trigger column).
Trigger column can be empty, but setting an trigger for whole group allows you to access all
actions from that group at once. This way you don't have to set triggers for all actions inside a
group, just set a trigger for whole group and after invoking action menu by pressing a action
key you'll be able to access any of Group's actions instantly.
Example1:
Make a new Group and name it "personal data".Than create few Auto text actions containing
your name, sure name, address, contact email etc.Set the trigger for whole group,it may be
"pdata". Now ,while in your text editor, type "pdata" and invoke action menu by pressing any of Action
keys.Action menu pops up and you can choose item to be inserted in text replacing your
trigger string.
Group commands:
Under Group tree structure there are a few commands that can be used to manage groups:

This command is available only if some of existing groups is selected.Than it inserts a new
empty group as subgroup of selected group.

pressing F2 key while a group is selected.
Export set
Export current set of groups and actions as a file. You can later load that file or if you have
installed Typing Buddy on the other computer, using this feature you can have all your actions
on both computers.
If you have a large number of actions it is a good idea to export set often, just to be
sure that you have backup of your actions if needed.
Load set
It loads previously saved set of actions. It has two modes Replace and Append.
Replace will completely replace current set of actions with one you choose to load.
Append will merge current set with one you choose to load.
